OneHeart was born from a community vision to improve quality of life in Rapid City by addressing the root causes of poverty and housing insecurity–not just the symptoms. What began as years of research, collaboration, and planning became a reality when the campus opened its doors in January 2021.

From day one, our mission has been to provide safety, stability, and holistic support while helping individuals and families build lasting independence through housing, employment, and personalized services. Together with our generous donors, partners, and volunteers, we've strengthened our campus, expanded our programs, and most importantly, transformed lives.

Today, OneHeart continues to grow, innovate, and advocate so every person who walks through our doors finds not only a safe place, but a path forward. By breaking the cycle of poverty, we are creating stronger futures for generations to come– and this is only the beginning.
